I heard from my mom this morning that she'd learned, over the past few weeks, of the deaths of the mother of the family she stayed with on her semester abroad program in college and of the professor who led the program. My folks had been very close to their host families and to that professor, so although they were both in their nineties--well, that program is where my parents met, so.
Then the radio on my way to the Catholics was about right-to-die and end-of-life issues, and the radio on the way back was also about death and dying, and it was a hard morning.
On top of which, my head hurts and I know it's because of the dry winter air. I'm supposed to be Neti pot-ing more often. I did a rinse this afternoon and I'll have to do another one before bed tonight. Oof.
