Apropos of this recent thing, I had an audition at an Episcopalian church that's closer to home and pays more (also involves more work, but I think it's like 2.5x the $ for 2x the hours, something like that - also closer to home and Episcopalian), and it all went really well, and today I got the news that they hired the other candidate. Ah well. There will be others, possibly even ones that don't involve any midweek rehearsal, and I don't actually need the church singing job at all, so if the Catholics become unbearable I can quit any time. :-P
