Gentlemen Guys:

From time to time, you may meet someone you find interesting. Perhaps you buy her a drink and find a way to get her number so that, in the event she also finds you interesting, there's a chance you'll see her again. You may, in fact, have some fun and call her a few times to sketch out plans to actually see her again.

If, at some point in the not-too-distant future, you change your mind and decide you don't really care to see her again; that is, you're no longer interested in the person you approached pretty aggressively in the first place; do not, repeat, DO NOT just up and quit returning her calls. Even if you don't know each other that well and her level of emotional investment in you is frankly pretty low, she still won't appreciate this sort of treatment. Put another way, her level of emotional investment in not being discarded like a cheap thing that is cheap is likely to be a little higher. One "You know, this probably isn't going to work out after all" is all it takes.

Not, as someone once said, that I'm speaking from experience or anything. This is all (as he said) purely fucking hypothetical.

Thank you for your attention.
