The banged-up knee feels much better. It's got an ugly bruise, but I can bend and straighten it freely and I'm glad, because when it hurt it hurt a lot.
Everything else feels worse. I have muscle aches today that I didn't have yesterday, which combined with the unusual nastiness of these bug bites has given the tiny part of my brain that goes "oh, wait ..." a bit of something to chew on. Of course it's nothing - quite apart from anything else, I saw the mosquito that was attacking me the other night and I killed it myself, so I know it was a mosquito - but there are big ol' nickel-sized bruisy spots around each of the bites, and I've written down where I have these bites today in case there turns out to be something else still biting me (if, that is, I have more bites tomorrow), and I wish all my muscles and half my joints didn't ache and I weren't exhausted for no reason. That would be great.
