fannishness shared is fannishness doubled
Sep. 7th, 2009 10:51 pmSpent the whole day today with
ellen_fremedon installed in my living room, watching [almost all of] West Wing season 1. She'd been saying for a while that she'd be amenable to WW indoctrination, and I made an effort at a bare-bones in-order-to-know-the-show list of episodes, but this afternoon we began at the beginning and really did end up watching about half the season, which is more than was even on my trying-to-keep-it-sort-of-minimal season-1 list. :-) (Also, full credit where it's due: it was after watching me and
cinco watch the "American Tune" vid again on Friday and go "eee!, I miss my show!" that
ellen_fremedon finally said "Okay, I have got to be sat down and shown this thing", so well done, American Tune vidder! [g])
High points included the end of "In Excelsis Deo", which E. declared redeemed her least favorite Christmas carol ever, and quite a lot of individual dialogue moments, and some exclamation out loud at various points; and then at the end of "What Kind of Day Has It Been", I said "all summer!" and E said "Holy shit, that's where they left you?" and I said "ALL SUMMER!" and she said "I thought you at least knew who had been -- wow, that must have been excruciating!" and I said "ALL SUMMER!"
[sigh]
I loved my show. :-D
