Last night/this morning: nightmares of particular horrifyingness. At first it was just something about someone in my section collapsing during a performance - unpleasant and scary, but not that bad, compared to the second reel, which had to do with being held against my will in some sort of log cabin, for nefarious purposes of course, required to don frontier-period dress and instructed to enjoy things it was claimed the other women enjoyed - bleh, the whole thing was nasty and the alarm went off just as I was fighting back.

Woke up (eventually) with what I am learning to recognize as massive tension in my scalp, that is, with tension in my facial muscles sufficient to have pulled my scalp down too tight. Took a naproxen and brought my ice pack with me to work, where it is now strapped to the back of my neck. We are learning.

In other news, as [personal profile] ellen_fremedon and [personal profile] dira will affirm, I have reached the point in your Vorkosigan tales where the only possible reaction was "SIIIIIIIIIIMONNNNNNNNNNNN!"

spoilers! )

I'm pretty sure it's turning out that (besides Aral, of course) Gregor is my favorite. Shocking, that.

This evening: dairy! Old Chatham Sheepherding Company sheep's milk yogurt, blueberry flavor.

Details for those as wants them. )

For the first time, the fruit is on the bottom. The yogurt on top has separated just slightly, and the part of the yogurt from which the liquid has separated is firming up into tighter bits than I believe cow's milk yogurt usually does in my experience, making it look a little like cottage cheese. Giving it a little stir, it appears smoother and a little thinner than the yogurt I'm accustomed to. It is pinky-purple because the base is so much whiter than the non-dairy varieties.

Oh, that's delicious. There's a lovely tartness in it - ingredients include lime juice, no fooling, so it looks like they even bumped up the tartness beyond what the cultures would yield - and a lovely level of fruitiness and it's nicely creamy and mild behind that tartness and fruitiness, and hells yeah I would buy this again and again in many other flavors.

Final grade: A+.
