And today, the flu-like symptoms.

I think I can medicate those on my own, and the doctor's office is calling in a scrip for Ambien so I should be able to sleep soundly and for a whole night, shouldn't I? Lately I've been sleeping, as I said, but with very strange vivid dreams (only I can seldom remember them, which is unusual for me) and waking up suddenly when I move and every joint pops like bubble wrap. I normally sleep very soundly and quite still, but the past several mornings my bed has been all pulled out of shape. I'm not sorry to have asked for the drugs.

When I decide to ditch Bank of America even though they have always treated me just fine, because I agree that they have treated other people unfairly and like crap, so I open an account with the state employees' credit union, whereby I get a fee-free checking account provided there is a direct deposit each month (and arrange to have my direct deposit redirected for that purpose) and unlimited free checks in the bland ordinary style, and I make the requisite deposits and order two boxes of the bland ordinary checks, you know what's disappointing?

Logging on to online banking when I am finally able to do so and finding that my brand-new checking account is in the red because they charged me for two boxes of (free!) checks and then HIT ME WITH AN INSUFFICIENT-FUNDS FEE.

I reiterate: I have personally never had a single issue with Bank of America, and this is what the credit union gives me right out of the gate. NOT IMPRESSED.

Though the person I (finally) got on the phone was very nice about it and agreed it was a mistake and shouldn't have happened and the whole whack should be refunded to me by the end of the day.
